Hi! I’m LaPorscha Monique!

I’m a Wife, Mom of two and Makeup Artist in the Metro-Detroit Area.

After 4 years as a Full Time Social Worker working to reunify children with their families after spending time in foster care, I've decided to pursue entrepreneurship full-time while also focusing on being a new Wife and Mom. This next chapter of life I've decided to pour into my passion to empower women and bet on myself.

I create flawless makeup looks on women who want to be comfortably confident! We're not doing caked on mask over here ladies. If you’re not a makeup wearer, no worries! I will work with your preferences to give you that “I woke up like this” flawless beat and if you’re feeling adventurous we can go full glam. I focus on enhancing my clients natural beauty and highlighting your best features. 

 

My superpower is my big heart, sounds a little cliche but I naturally nourish my clientele, my friendships and live for quality time with family. When I’m not running around with our toddler or snuggling with our newborn, I'm likely playing Streets of Rage 4 or Scrabble with my husband. I enjoy binge watching Grey’s Anatomy when I have the time, and these days I've swapped my cup of peppermint tea with an iced latte. Now that you know a little bit about me (vibe check lol) I can't wait to get to know you.

Often I'm asked: How did you get into Makeup, well.... 

 

My Makeup Journey: In high school I dabbled in modeling and eventually in college I decided that I wanted to learn makeup basics. My cousin walked me through the steps and shared her product suggestions. The classic smokey eye was the first look that I learned and after than I spent countless hours on youtube learning and recreating looks. Around campus my classmates started to ask if I could do their makeup (2012) and I thought why not?! Makeup has had its seasons throughout my life and eventually in 2017 I decided to invest in my craft and take a professional makeup course in Texas. I spent the following months practicing and taking new clients. I was in grind mode honey. In 2018 I booked my first wedding and in that moment I began to feel confident enough to call myself a Professional Makeup Artist. I'm so appreciative to the women that trusted my skills and were apart of the learning curve. Over the years I’ve done makeup for culture shows, graduations, events, photoshoots and weddings and my artistry just continues to evolve. 

 

I’m passionate about helping women to look and feel their best! It's watching my clients walk out laughing and smiling their biggest smiles after their appointments that brings me joy and I appreciate all of the amazing talented and extraordinary women that I work with. I'm committed to continued education and consistently elevating my craft to provide you with the most elevated, soft but glamorous, look that you've envisioned.
